Rural Empowerment
Current Projects
Rural Empowerment partnered with Danville Community College and the Danville/Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce to provide individuals with essential skills in cybersecurity, coding, and AI/ML concepts. This intensive 16-week program provides students with essential knowledge to pass nationally accredited certifications needed to excel in the IT industry.
Rural Empowerment plays a crucial role in this initiative by offering incentive-based stipends to students who meet and exceed academic standards throughout the course. This financial support encourages academic excellence and helps students stay motivated. Additionally, Rural Empowerment organizes site trips, providing students with immersive, real-world experiences in the cybersecurity field. These excursions allow students to see the practical applications of their studies and gain valuable industry insights.
Beyond financial and experiential support, Rural Empowerment offers soft-skills development, including resume building and interview preparation. Our founders also leverage their extensive connections in the IT world to help students network and secure opportunities in the industry. Additionally, Rural Empowerment acts as a support system for students, addressing any issues or questions they may have throughout the program. This comprehensive support ensures that students have the resources and guidance they need to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Danville Community College and the Danville/Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce for their invaluable partnership. Their collaboration has been instrumental in this transformative program, providing students with the essential skills and opportunities needed to thrive in the IT industry. We are deeply appreciative of their commitment and support, which have been vital to the success of this initiative.
